A recent survey found that 90 percent of workers are currently unhappy with their workspaces. One of the main complaints was a lack of privacy.

Specific problems pointed out in the survey include:

  • No sense of belonging or workplace culture.

With your employees spending a majority of their week in your office, it's important that the office design caters to their work style, role and feeling of belonging within the organization in order for them to perform their best.

One executive told the Denver Post that his company's efforts to rework its office space with a focus on collaboration have resulted in increased productivity for the business. By balancing the collaborative open office space with individual focus rooms and standing desk options, employees felt they had space to move and work together or individually without judgment. This move away from cubicles is a trend changing many of the country's traditional offices.
